My latest Poem...

The Season's Resonating Laughter

Twinkling stars gaze at us in the moonlight,
Watching Earth tell the story,
The story of the seasons, day and night,
A wonderful sight to behold.
Rain drops glisten in the morning sun,
The smell of the fresh thunderstorm fills the air,
A multicoloured rainbow’s time is over and done,
Trees sigh happily in the sweet bliss of morning.
A scorching heat weighs down on those who wander,
Piercing sunlight penetrates the Earth’s defences,
Satisfying those who see it as the sun’s favour,
Gradually lifting spirits of the oppressed and anxious.
Mid afternoon comes with a truly chilling wind,
Pure blankets of snow cover hard and frozen ground,
Fascinating flakes have endlessly twirled and swirled,
Baffling those who try to define them.
The stars return with a petrifying flash of lightning,
Terrifying animals and captivating children,
A cruel laugh resonates and Mother Nature is beaming,
Her curse set upon the world.
